- Ballet slippers, the single most important factor is fit. The shoe should fit like a sock or glove without puckers or extra material to pinch at the tip of the shoe.
- Jazz shoes fit similarly to ballet slippers. The leather is soft and it stretches and moulds to the foot with wear.
- Tap shoes are more structured and the leather is stiffer. Toes should reach the end of the shoe without too much pressure.
